Renga helps to design and detail MEP building systems basing on drawings of plumbing and sewage system, HVAC system, power supply and power supply equipment.
All project members have an access to information model and can associate object data with each drawing object. As a result, MEP engineers can immediately get required object data on internal and external building envelope, materials, type and dimension of spaces etc. Based on this data, engineer can easily calculate heating and cooling demands of the building model, air change, water demand and disposal, lighting level and power equipment capacity.
Taking into account the entire load data, engineer creates an equipment layout plan. Renga MEP allows to design independently of Element library by virtue of implemented Style tool, that creates required elements for less than a minute.
Sometimes engineers have to work in several software products to take full advantage of BIM technique and enhance the design. So when the need arises to transfer an object created in other product to Renga MEP, engineer only needs to convert this imported object into Renga format. It allows to add custom properties and use it in schedules
Implemented System Builder tool enables to draw trunk pipeline and fittings. This tool can be easily adjusted to match the required criteria and standards. System Builder draws an object by control points in automatic mode. Automatic routing considers the layout of structural walls, columns, window and door openings, and avoids them with account of the required setback. If necessary, System Builder will route right through the partition.
When drawing pipes and ducts, engineer can apply any type, size and material, entering data from the product gauges and schedules provided by the suppliers or manufacturers.
Renga MEP provides engineer with opportunity to select type of joint, piping, rebar, duct and route. structural engineer in his turn can use different types of connections within one system. Thanks to this feature, real-life connecting piece can be applied and scheduled automatically
Renga MEP represents a rich tool by combining crucial design processes like smart 3D modeling, calculations of all sorts, construction and maintenance cost estimating of a building project. You can perform required calculation and estimating activities, selecting from a variety of analysis packages developed by Renga partners. And import the resulting file from any of these packages into Renga MEP.
You can load layout plans onto drawing sheet and using rich toolset, create schedules to match the standards of Russian System of design documents for construction (SPDS) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Schedules upload automatically in Schedule Builder, when you add columns for each object property.
There are two ways for engineer to create MEP systems in Renga software. First: receive existing 3D building model from architect or structural engineer. Second: receive 2D drawings from architect or structural engineer and create 3D model of building systems by himself. MEP Engineer can also use 2D drawings for underlay..
