31/05/2018

Renga Software attends XXIII International Exhibition of Architecture and Design Arch Moscow 2018, which took place at the Central House of Artist from 16 to 20 of May 2018.

298 Companies from 17 countries participated in the exhibition, 7 discussion platforms hosted 169 business events – lectures and master classes, panel and round table discussions, presentations and movie screenings. Learning platform BIM-Zone is the novelty of this year exhibition, where successful practical applications of BIM technology had been presented. Renga Software introduced to the event attendees first Russian BIM-system.

Maxim Shibanov, Head of Marketing Department, in his presentation told about Renga program features, such as 3D object modeling, automatic drawings and schedules generation, interaction with calculation and estimating solutions. ''It's extremely important  not only to design using BIM technologies, but also perform clash detection to avoid any interferences in a project model. VR technology serves to overcome such problems perfectly. Using VR-helmet  helps to find technical errors, make adjustments at the early working stage, and effectively demonstrate the completed project to the client'', said Maxim. Finishing the speech, he listed companies already using Renga BIM-system, including not only Russian enterprises, but also Belarusian republican unitary enterprise Belzhilproekt.

Master class on shopping mall design using BIM software allowed to see all Renga features live. Evgeniy Kiryan, Renga Software marketing manager, demonstrated shopping center designed entirely in Renga; showed its architectural and structural elements and how to fill it with interior items, changing sizes and assigning desired materials. “Using Element tool you can import any 3D object, furniture or equipment, and set required parameters and overall sizes. All it takes is to specify one parameter size – others two will change automatically. Whenever necessary to change object size disproportionately, you can specify each size value manually”, told Evgeniy.

“Shopping malls are getting more popular nowadays, not only in Moscow but also in other Russian cities, they've become an irreplaceable part of urban infrastructure, offering a robust menu of lifestyle and entertainment choices. And 3D modeling is becoming a crucial part in shopping center architecture and design”.

To surprise the participants, Renga Software organized a prize draw, in which the winner was awarded with the trip to the observation deck of the Moscow City financial district. Winner will get the view of the Russian capital from the 89th floor of the Federation Tower, will learn about Moscow International Business Center designers and constructors, and interesting facts about construction process.

At the Renga Software stand everyone interested could take an expert opinion on BIM software implementation and even try to design 3D models themselves. One of the exhibition attendees, a high schooler, created his very first 3D model in Renga. With such a talented younger generation, the future of BIM is certainly exciting!
