Once upon a time there was a BIM system called Renga. From year to year it developed, got more features, and thanks to developers' efforts and users' feedback, it's only become more efficient and powerful. Our product team worked non stop to develop Renga, adding new functionalities and improving already existing tools. Are you ready to discover new Renga with us?
Today, Renga Software has released two completely new editions of Renga BIM system - Renga Professional and Renga Standard. We really want you to have a choice, so that you can decide for yourself what you really need and aspire to, what suits you best when implementing your projects.
New Renga editions differ in functionality, cost, licensing policy and, most importantly, target audience.
When creating Renga Standard, we first of all thought about those who are engaged in individual commercial design (sole proprietors, freelancers, small architectural studios engaged in the design of low-rise buildings and individual housing construction). Why would you pay extra for features you don't use in your workflows?
But among our users there are many large design companies, corporations, holdings that design major complex buildings and facilities. Renga Professional with implemented real-time collaboration functionality was developed specifically for them.
More great news! In addition to freedom of choice, we give our users greater freedom of action! BIM tools are valued for their object-oriented, parametric design. It’s great when users get a rich selection of parametric objects to choose from. This allows you to create models quickly and without much struggle. But construction process can be very complex and require a huge amount of different equipment. This is why designers want to be able to create their own parametric equipment.
New release provides users with the ability to create new categories of engineering equipment styles in Renga. But we didn’t just use the Lua scripting language, but created our own object-oriented STDL language based on Lua. By doing so, we are allowing our users to expand the variety of parametric engineering equipment in Renga, which was previously limited to only the existing 102 categories of equipment, parts and accessories.
Renga STDL (Style Template Description Language) is object-oriented language developed by Renga Software based on Lua. Thanks to Renga STDL, users now have the opportunity to work with new equipment categories, for example, air conditioners, split systems, or video surveillance equipment. And most importantly, this equipment is parametric and has ports to be connected to utility lines. Overall, users now can create any category of engineering equipment that is not included in the Renga distribution kit. Isn't it great?
