Renga BIM system is an innovative and intelligent product, created by the developers who diligently add new functional capabilities in each new release, moving along the Roadmap and paying attention to Renga users' feedback. New features improve not only solving application tasks of designers, but also managing Renga licenses. This release aimes at both increasing the comfort of working in the system and reducing the costs of purchasing and monitoring the software.
Managing licenses wisely
Changing the protection and licensing system is the first big step towards implementing network licenses. The second step will be providing network licenses to Renga users. The change in the protection and licensing system had already been announced earlier, but it was with the release of the new versions of Renga Standard and Renga Professional that the changes came into effect. We are confident that through such step-by-step actions we will be able to ensure a competent license management process.
We remind you that users of permanent commercial licenses with an active subscription for technical support and current licenses with a temporary term have the opportunity to update the licensing system free of charge within the framework of the current conditions. There is one simple step you will need to take before installing Renga version 8.0: contact your sales representative or contact license@ascon.ru to get activation keys for your licenses.
Solving application tasks of designers
Improved functional capabilities of the updated Renga version will bring much joy to architects, designers and network engineers. In the previous Renga release we introduced the ability to use holes in walls. The next step was to expand the use of holes for columns and beams. The new feature will come in handy primarily for designers working with reinforced concrete, metal and wooden structures.
Holes in beams
Architects can also use the Hole tool to create, for example, antique columns from white architectural concrete.

Teamwork of engineers and designers will also reach a new level, since this tool can be used not only to lighten load-bearing structures, but also to design utility networks.
Perforated beam
New Renga version provides MEP engineers with the long-awaited ability to make mirror copies of utility lines. Now it is possible to make a complete mirror copy of the water supply and sewerage system risers with connected plumbing equipment, mirror copy of heated floors, as well as ventilation and electrical systems of any complexity.
Mirror copying of engineering routes
Renga developers have also added the ability to change the geometry of rebars and edit levels, sections and elevations from schedules. We've also improved working with drawings and API.
