Renga BIM System Celebrates 10 Years Anniversary
On March 31, 2025, Renga celebrated its anniversary! Ten years ago, we took the first step toward changing the approach to design, and since then, every our user's project, feedback, and idea has helped us grow. During this time, Renga has become an integral part of the progress and movement towards BIM technologies, helping thousands of professionals create complex projects with maximum efficiency.
Among our main achievements over these 10 years, we note:
Real-time mode collaboration. A unique functionality that was developed by Renga Software with grant support from the Russian Information Technology Development Foundation.
Integration with international software and domestically developed alternatives. Renga supports IFC 4 export for interoperability with other systems, as well as extensive integration with other construction solution developers. This ensures end-to-end digitalization of processes – from design to operation.
MEP systems development. In recent years, Renga has added features for automatic route generation, object category management, connecting pipeline and duct accessories, and the ability to add routing points.
API for third-party developers. An open API allows users to create extensions to automate tasks.
Renga STDL. Renga Professional implements the object-oriented Renga STDL language, which allows for the unlimited creation of any custom equipment and fittings categories.
Cooperation with the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Renga participates in pilot projects to digitalize construction in the regions, helping to formulate requirements for digital information models.
Education. Cooperation with universities, colleges and schools. More than 200 universities and colleges teach students to design in Renga. Thousands of users have been trained to work in Renga through the ASCON BIM Faculty and the Summer School for Teachers.
Transition to BIM software. Over 1,400 companies use Renga BIM system to create their projects.
Over 10 years, Renga development team has released 60 releases and implemented approximately 700 functional capabilities.
