Renga team is thrilled to announce the release of the long-awaited new Renga Standard and Renga Professional versions, featuring a number of improvements. This update addresses key design aspects, from support for groups in filters and enhanced API functionality to fine-tuning MEP systems and developing automation tools.
Improved group workflows
New version of Renga continues to expand the functionality for grouping objects. Users now can group objects directly in the 3D view, create dedicated filters that include these groups, and manage them according to designers’ tasks.

Managing grouped objects using filters and the 'Select in the Model' command
The same logic works for selecting objects from schedules or engineering system tab, making navigation through a complex model easier and more intuitive.
Using IFC format to import and export groups
Latest Renga release erases boundaries between programs and introduces the ability to export grouped objects into IFC4 format. . You can now easily export a group of apartment rooms as a single zone, preserving data structure for future exchange. The reverse operation — importing groups from IFC — enables designers to quickly integrate existing models and elements from third-party projects into their own projects, minimizing the time required for manual adjustments.
Design without blind spots: inserting copies on objects out of sight
A major improvement affects the process of copying various objects placed on surface faces located out of users' sight. Previously, users could copy objects like sockets, switches or holes only onto visible surfaces. In many cases, this could lead to a breach of model integrity. Users can now quickly create copies of holes, wiring accessories, lighting fixtures and electrical distribution boards using standard tools, replicating them across adjacent spaces as well as between upper and lower floors. This enhancement significantly accelerates design workflows and improves the accuracy of created models. (For a more detailed overview watch the video on VK and RuTube.)

Customized insulation settings
Users can now individually configure insulation settings for different pipe and duct diameters. This allows designers to more accurately account for project-specific requirements while ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The result is not only improved project quality, but also direct savings due to the optimal selection of insulation thickness for each diameter.
This functionality is particularly relevant for industrial designers, where strict compliance with current design standards and regulations is required, along with precise material selection based on technical characteristics and application conditions of pipe systems.

More stable team collaboration and the power of automation
Automatic recovery of disconnected connections from Renga Collaboration Server ensures uninterrupted teamwork regardless of network failures. There is no longer any need to manually reload your project in case of failed Internet connection.
API enhancement
We have taken another significant step forward by enhancing the API with new functionalities that enable further automation of the design process and simplify integration of Renga into existing workflows.
The updated Renga is more than just a set of new features; it's a step towards smarter, faster, and more error-free design.
