ATTA GROUP Design Company has recently completed a pilot project involving the implementation of ASKON full-stack BIM solution. Architects and engineers created a digital information model of a 25-storey residential complex using Renga BIM system and Pilot-BIM common data environment for collaborative work. The project was supported by ASKON-Siberia Regional Center.

ATTA Group has been operating in the design services market since 1987. Its portfolio includes the international terminal and domestic flights terminal at Tolmachevo Airport, the reconstruction of the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the reconstruction of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Japan, as well as residential complexes in Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.
Following the discontinuation of support for foreign BIM solutions, the company deliberately searched for domestically developed alternatives. The combination of Renga and Pilot-BIM was selected based on the “model + coordination” approach.
In the course of the pilot project, ATTA Group specialists developed architectural, structural, and MEP systems models (including heating and part of the ventilation systems) using Renga BIM system. Subsequently, designers used Pilot-BIM to issue comments on the model, monitor task execution, and identify and resolve clashes.

Testing the BIM solution on a real project demonstrated that the home-grown product covers most of ATTA GROUP’s standard tasks across the architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The company designers also noted the speed of producing drawings and schedules, as well as the transparent coordination between project disciplines.

Nikita Luft, Head of Digital Development Office at ATTA GROUP and Structural Engineer, commented: “We view the adoption of Russian-made software as a strategic direction for development and are always ready to share feedback. We clearly identified the advantages of using Pilot-BIM, especially since our design workflows previously lacked comparable coordination tools.”
Alexey Dyatlov, Director of the BIM Department at ASKON-Siberia, stated: “ATTA Group is an example of a strategic approach to developing BIM processes using Russian software solutions. At the initial stage of our cooperation, the client did not aim to completely replace the foreign software currently in use. The main objective was to create an effective heterogeneous design automation system aligned with the BIM concept. We noted the readiness of ATTA GROUP’s expert team to deeply engage with the methodology of project implementation using Renga and Pilot-BIM. Their interest was focused on building an integrated process rather than simply implementing new tools, which is particularly valuable.”
