Transyuzhstroy Company Successfully Implements Renga BIM System

Softline Group, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, helped Transyuzhstroy company to implement domestically developed design software. The real estate developer based in Belgorod can now use Renga BIM system (BIM - Building Information Modeling - information modeling technology). Using this modern 3D tool with collaboration functionality, the company can solve complex design tasks and create information models reducing the time spent on project development.

Transyuzhstroy company is the leader in the Belgorod Region construction industry. The company develops and implements projects that play an important role in the local development. During 16 years of its history on the market Transyuzhstroy company has built and put into operation more than 800,000 square meters of real estate, of which 600,000 are residential properties. The company has built more than 15 residential complexes, 11 social facilities, 5 office buildings, 4 industrial facilities, 5 railway stations, has reconstructed and built more than 60 places of worship.

The company uses software for the civil construction design in its daily work. After the foreign software products licenses used by Transyuzhstroy specialists were revoked, the developer needed to quickly find a BIM design tool available in Russia. Therefore, Transyuzhstroy company resorted to Softline, which has many years of experience in deploying and implementing modern computer-aided design tools for its clients.

Softline specialists studied the company's business processes and workflows and selected a solution that met all the customer's needs in architectural modeling and collaboration opportunities. After some research, the choice fell on the Russian based developer Renga Software. It is also worth noting, that Renga generates all documents according to International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

“Our client is a rapidly growing company, and is interested in implementing advanced design technologies. The growing number of Transyuzhstroy construction projects requires for the company to rapidly process large amounts of information and improve collaboration between related departments. We helped to choose a tool that allows the client to design buildings using BIM technology and ensure efficient and collaborative workflows for the architectural and design team members working with models. Renga provided our client with a better 3D modeling experience: increased productivity, greater optimization, and improved quality of modeling by detecting clashes and reducing the number of manual operations needed for creating a 3D model. After acquiring licenses, Transyuzhstroy specialists almost immediately started working in the new system. This was made possible thanks to a simple and understandable interface, as well as the high competence of the company's specialists. During the Renga testing we provided the client with consulting support, which allowed Transyuzhstroy specialists to quickly master the basic functionality. In addition, the client praised thorough and detailed training materials provided by the vendor. ''To speed up the process of adaptation to the new product, Softline experts also conducted introductory training for a group of designers,” said Marina Belozorova, CAD business development manager at Softline Group.

“Our company has been using BIM technology since 2019. We wanted to discover and test new BIM solutions, so we did some market research, in which our IT expert, Nikolay Titarenko, took an active part. After performing a comparative analysis of the software functionality and evaluating the pricing policy, we decided on domestically developed Renga BIM system. One of the key factors when switching to the new software was the ability to easily master the program. It was also important for our specialists to quickly interact in the same workspace. The model created in Renga contains different types of object data - technological, economic, architectural and constructive, which makes it possible to see all the relationships. In addition, working in a single collaborative environment allows the chief engineer and chief architect to coordinate workflows and control project timing. All this affects the generation and release of high-quality and up-to-date design and working documentation. Renga provides us with integrity and data-rich models and objects, as well as automatic synchronization at all stages of design. In the constantly changing environment and the need for parallel implementation of projects, the use of such a software product allows you to do efficient work, and save both time and effort when working with 3D models. I note that the product is new and it changes rapidly to meet the needs of the market. And since we are interested in more detailed and customized to our needs tools, we cannot yet design structural concepts completely in Renga and sometimes use third-party software. But we also want to note that the vendor maintains an open dialogue with customers and listens to feedback, and we expect that Renga will soon expand its software capabilities to provide even more convenient design tools. After implementing Renga, most of our employees are already working in the new system. Using Renga, our specialists have already completed two different projects — they designed a multi-storey building and a school,” added Dmitry Prokhorov, BIM manager at Transyuzhstroy.

“We are very pleased that large developers are choosing BIM technology. This trend gives hope that in the near future the construction industry will completely switch to information modeling technology, because the advantages of 3D design are obvious. And the Transyuzhstroy company proves by its own example that the transition to BIM technology from 2D design is possible and gives positive results. An important moment in the history of the company is how exactly the transition from foreign software to our Renga product happens. Moreover, it became possible in the shortest possible time thanks to the support of Softline company. For the developer, one of the most attractive functionalities in Renga is the real-time collaboration. The Transyuzhstroy company experience is a great example that showcases BIM technology capabilities in general and Renga in particular,” commented Maxim Shibanov, Head of Marketing at Renga Software.
